This page hold financial records, including audit information, for the current and previous financial year. Older records can be found on the Finance Archive page.

The council is subject to the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, meaning we must have an ‘internal audit’ each year. This is not carried out by anyone within Cromhall Parish Council, but by an independent auditor appointed by the council. Our current auditor is Paul Russell of Parish and Town Audit Services.

We are also subject to external audit. These are carried out by BDO LLP, an accountancy firm appointed by the Smaller Authorities Audit Appointments Ltd. The results of internal and external audits are published here when available.

The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 include a dedicated period each summer when members of the public have a legal right to view the financial and audit paperwork. The dates for this “period of public rights” will be published on this page in May or June each year. However, Cromhall Parish Council are committed to working in a transparent way and the Clerk will be happy to answer queries at any point in the year about the financial information presented here, or other aspects of the council’s operation.

The period of public rights to inspect the accounts will run from 3rd June until 14th July 2026. Notice of public rights published 31st May 2026 due to there being no Clerk/RFO in post from that date.
